Shortlisted for architectural lighting design of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, The Rothschild Collection comprises high-resolution LED screens installed behind glass layers for the Goldkammer exhibition in Frankfurt.

The walls of the 64-square-metre space are completely covered with two-way mirrors. On three sides, the walls are equipped with high-resolution LED-screens, installed behind the glass layers.

The unique collection of 300 bullions from 35 countries with a total weight of 230kg is presented in 38 vitrines which are integrated in the fourth wall.

Special lighting systems have been implemented in the vitrines and the ceiling. Covered with red silk, the vitrine panels are evenly backlit to provide an elegant background.
