Shortlisted for homeware design of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, Audrone Drungilaite has designed a hand-tufted rug for EMKO, that uses leftover materials to create new motifs with each rug.

The rug is created with one-colour yarns initially. The weaver then selects the rest of the details from the leftovers, creating unique patterns each time.

The item is made out of the rug industry's leftover yarn. Every single rug is uniquely coloured and made from 100 percent linen that has hypoallergenic features.
