Shortlisted for emerging designer of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, The Liminal Space is an interdisciplinary design studio led by Sarah Douglas and Amanda Gore.

The Liminal Space uses art and design to create ground-breaking experiences that transform what people think, feel and do. The practice brings together the creativity of a cross-disciplinary design studio with the rigour of a think tank.

Its projects translate important questions and scientific evidence into tangible objects and spaces, which engage audiences on complex social issues and increase understanding, participation and action.

The studio uses its inventive art and design-led engagement methods to advance people-centred research for academics and policy-makers, and to empower more people, more profoundly to contribute to greater positive social and health outcomes.
