Dezeen Showroom: Norwegian furniture manufacturer Flokk has released RH Mereo, an office chair that marries minimalist design with ergonomic technology.

The RH Mereo was created in collaboration with Veryday, an agency that specialises in innovative, user-friendly design solutions. The chair is highly flexible and comes with an adjustable headrest, backrest, seat and armrests.

It also has a cushion to encourage better posture and a frictionless tilt mechanism that follows the movements of the user.

"Ergonomic features, intuitive handles and a clean shape makes it easily adjusted to personal needs and preferences – no matter what size or shape you are," Flokk said.

RH Mereo was developed to combine these user-friendly features with the quality materials and minimal aesthetic that Scandinavian design is known for.

While Flokk aims for the chair to improve the performance of individuals and teams in contemporary workplaces, it is also suitable for home offices.

The chair comes in a wide variety of back sizes, frame colours and upholstery fabrics, making it easy to customise. Each component is also fully recyclable and can be regenerated into new products.
