Juan Pablo Cepeda
Mexican architect Juan Pablo Cepeda is founder and director of Mexico City architecture studio CPDA Arquitectos.
Cepeda graduated with an architecture degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana in 2007. In 2011 he co-founded the architecture practice Mocaa Arquitectos, and in 2016 he launched CPDA Arquitectos.
CPDA Arquitectos respects the tradition and legacy of Mexican architecture. To maintain this standard, the studio studies the past while considering historical processes and transformations in context.
Cepada received a gold medal in the first Mexico City Architecture Biennale in 2013. CPDA Arquitectos has received two medals from the Academy of Mexican Architecture, two honourable mentions from the Young Mexican Architects Biennale, a nomination for the RIBA International Prize 2017 and was highly commended in the World Architecture Festival 2018 for the small-scale housing. CPDA Aquitectos was also a winner in the Archmarathon Awards 2020, the Noldi Schreck Awards 2020 and others.
