Aline Asmar d'Amman
Aline Asmar d’Amman is the architect and interior designer behind Culture in Architecture, a design studio based in Beirut and in Paris, committed to bridging cultures while balancing the past with the present.
The international firm has been at the helm of several iconic interior projects, including the re-opening of Hôtel de Crillon in Paris and the renovation the Eiffel Tower’s gastronomic restaurant Le Jules Verne.
The architect collaborated with icon Karl Lagerfeld on his "Les Grands Appartements" decor at Hôtel de Crillon and developed his collection of functional marble sculptures "Architectures", showcased at the Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
Aline is currently overseeing the renovation of Palazzo Dona Giovannelli, Rosewood Venice, and other developments in the fields of private residential, hospitality, scenography and furniture design from Bahrain, Beirut and Riyad, to Europe and Asia. Recently, the Lebanese born architect unveiled a collection of unique functional sculptures, ‘The Memory of Stones’, made with handpicked discarded marble fragments in an upcycling approach.
Aline Asmar d’Amman cultivates narrative statements born from the intricate dialog of the raw and the precious, heritage and modernity, poetry and materiality.
