POV tables by Kaschkasch for TON
Dezeen Showroom: German design duo Kaschkasch has brought its minimalist and timeless approach to a series of wooden tables for Czech furniture brand TON.
Called POV, the modular collection spans three base shapes in two heights and six different tabletops, allowing users to create nearly 70 different tables.
POV stands for point of view, in a nod to the organic shapes of the collection that seem to changes and morph when observed from different angles.
Each base units is made from three identical bent plywood panels, in what Kaschkasch designer Florian Kallus described as "the defining feature of the entire collection".
The collection comes in three types of wood – beech, oak and American walnut – which can also be finished in various colours.
"We wanted to create products that would work in different environments – restaurants, offices and homes," Kallus explained.
The POV collection also includes a stackable dining stool, which can be upholstered and comes with a minimalist trolley for transportation.
