As summer approaches in the northern hemisphere, here are 10 contemporary outdoor products from Dezeen Showroom.
Following on from our recent roundup of products for gardens and terraces, the latest selection includes furniture, lighting and an outdoor kitchen by leading designers and brands.
These include stackable lanterns by Stephen Burks, a series of colourful chairs and stools by Benjamin Hubert and an outdoor kitchen island by Rodolfo Dordoni.

Trestle outdoor table by Jennifer Newman Studio
Trestle is an aluminium outdoor table designed for hosting large parties in gardens and patios by Jennifer Newman Studio. The table features an oversized cantilevered tabletop that comes in a 2.4-metre length, which allows it to seat 12 people.
The table, which is available in an array of colours including light blue and pink sable, is constructed from lightweight, extruded aluminium tubes. This is finished in an anti-bacterial powder coating.
Norma outdoor kitchen by Rodolfo Dordoni for Roda
Norma is a modular outdoor kitchen system designed to accommodate al-fresco dining by architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni for Italian furniture brand Roda.
The kitchen system consists of a freestanding preparation module, which acts as a kitchen island and features an extendable table to create a small dining area. Alongside this is a cooking unit, which can be tucked under the table when not in use and comes with a gas stove and wheels that allow the unit to be easily moved.
Crop outdoor seating by Benjamin Hubert for Allermuir
British industrial designer Benjamin Hubert of London studio Layer has designed Crop, a family of colourful outdoor chairs created for furniture brand Allermuir. The collection comprises bar stools, lounge chairs and dining chairs.
The seating, which is waterproof and durable, is characterised by its graphic lines, stackable steel rod frame and robot-welded wires that form the seats and backrests. The chairs are available in six hues including olive, pastel green, ivory, black, blush and teal.
Plaff-on! outdoor wall light by Joan Gaspar for Marset
Plaff-on! is a minimal outdoor light created by industrial designer Joan Gaspar for Barcelona lighting brand Marset.
The light, which comes as an outdoor wall light or as a bollard, features a blown-glass diffuser encased in an aluminium frame. A mount holds the light perpendicular to the floor, which allows a soft light to diffuse downwards, subtly lighting outdoor spaces.

Wired chair by Michael Young for La Manufacture
British designer Michael Young has created the Wired chair for French lifestyle brand La Manufacture, which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The chair is composed of steel that has been bent into organic shapes that echo the veins of a leaf, with a central line representing the stem.
The range is available in a number of muted colours and comes with four legs or sled legs.
Ribs outdoor bench by Stefan Lie for DesignByThem
Ribs is a sinuous outdoor bench with a skeletal form designed to resemble a ribcage, created by Australian designer Stefan Lie for Sydney studio DesignByThem.
The bench is distinguished by a flexible spine that can be configured into different arrangements. The bench is rendered in powder-coated aluminium, making it durable in various weather conditions, lightweight and easily movable.
Liz armchair by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba for Expormim
Liz is an outdoor armchair designed to resemble an archetypal indoor chair but is intended for outdoor use, created by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba for Spanish brand Expormim.
The armchair is composed of an aluminium frame with a plush seat cushion upholstered in technical fabrics by Sunbrella or Batyline, which are designed to withstand the elements.
The Others lanterns by Stephen Burks for Dedon
The Others is a collection of handwoven outdoor lanterns created by American designer Stephen Burks for furniture brand Dedon.
The lamps, which can be used individually or arranged in totem-like stacks, provide warm, atmospheric lighting and can be dimmed according to user preferences via remote control.

Baza Lounge outdoor seating by Studio Segers for Todus
Baza Lounge is a range of outdoor seating including club chairs, lounge chairs, daybeds and swings created by Belgium-based Studio Segers for outdoor furniture company Todus.
The seating features a generous circular cushion seat that sits atop a powder-coated stainless steel frame. The cushions are upholstered in water-resistant fabric and filled with a quick-dry foam that allows them to be kept outside throughout the year.

Layout outdoor collection by Andrew Jones and Nathalie de Leval for Barlow Tyrie
Layout is a family of outdoor sofas, loungers, chairs, benches, dining tables and coffee tables by designers Andrew Jones and Nathalie de Leval for British furniture makers Barlow Tyrie.
The collection is made from a species of tropical hardwood called teak, which was selected for its resilience in outdoor settings, while the frames and legs are made from powder-coated, marine-grade stainless steel.
