The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Architects Declare have teamed up to present the first Built Environment Summit (BESt), which explores ways to decarbonise architecture.
The summit, which takes place during the run-up to the COP 26 climate conference, presents research and examples of innovative projects that focus on the decarbonisation of the built environment.
The summit aims to alert governments to the need to reduce emissions from the built environment, which account for almost 40 per cent of all greenhouse gas emissions.
The research and projects presented at the summit will contribute to a report be presented to global leaders at COP26.
