The Emergency Quarantine Facilities are temporary structures meant to augment and increase the capacity of our hospitals.
The structure is simple enough that it can be built quickly in 5 days and uses readily available materials so it can be scaled up not just throughout the city but nationwide.
Furthermore, the EQFs represent the role and responsibility of architects during this pandemic. This project is an example of a community that comes together for a common cause; it is a beacon of what can be achieved with agency and a dedication to our society.
This project has been longlisted in the small building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
