The writer's cabin project comes from the dream of a children's books writer deeply inspired by Virginia Wolf's book "A Room of One's Own".

This 30 metre squared wooden cabin seeks simple elegant lines, total transparency on the surrounding lush garden and a monumental bookshelves that seems out of scale.

Using local wood and CNC fabrication the unique wooden elements gives place to a wooden cabin of another kind for its meditative power complete with straight light lines stressing a huge volume of the roof.

This project has been longlisted in the small building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
