Commune is a small apartment in Moscow inspired by Bauhaus within the modern and constructivist tradition.
27m2 comprises a full-size bathroom and a kitchen along with additional areas for work and leisure, and the floor height difference adds to space zoning and separates the recreation area from utility rooms.
The furniture and the floor colour as the focal point of the interior refer to controversial Soviet times and are diluted by modern constructivism details, such as an untouched wall and a structural column.
Low window sills and a vintage black leather armchair from an unknown manufacturer create an 18+ feeling of space.
This project has been longlisted in the small interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
