Lili Architecture set out to create proper scale and to introduce a perception of spaciousness that suits modern living.

One longitudinal volume, finished with Venetian plaster, was placed to diminish the change in the existing floor height. The volume also divides the private living chambers from the generous public space.

By forgoing permanent partitions and walls, the public area enjoys unencumbered flow and circulation with the exception of the existing shafts remaining in place. Interestingly they become the features in the project as islands afloat in the expansive space, poetically situated in it and defining the functioning areas.

This project has been longlisted in the apartment interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
