Spiral Salon is a wellness and beauty salon in New York City.

The architecture and construction of the new structure were inspired by the owner's inspiration by nature in her own work, hence the raw white oak which has not been sealed and is allowed to weather and change color with time.

The aesthetic and functional result of the design is a light and airy slatted wood structure which provides all the functions the client needs as well as different ideas about public and private spaces. The new structure sits within its historic home and respects it but brings new life and vitality and function into it without erasing the memory of its past.

This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
