Creativity, co-utilisation and flexibility characterise Gothenburg's emerging Selma City District.
In the centre stands a unique mixed-use civic building; a municipal headquarters and cultural centre in one, that enables and encourages collaboration between the local authority and citizens.
Great emphasis has been placed on circularity in the form of reused furniture and materials, 92% of the interior is made from recycled materials, reused furniture and redesigned products.
The design scheme allows for a mix of various shapes, materials and colours that enhances the concept and creates a unified whole when combined with the building´s raw expression.
This project has been longlisted in the sustainable interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
