Truman's Social Club is designed to celebrate East London's rich history, bringing the community together to a new beer hall and social space.
Its inception is in part a response to social distancing measures, creating a space that accommodates seclusion from other parties, whilst still maintaining a feeling of community enjoyment.

The lighting design set out a concept approach to bring in much required warmth, instilling a welcoming feeling to this generously proportioned industrial space. This was achieved through careful zoning but also by celebrating industrial lighting aesthetics in juxtaposition with curated decorative features and cutting-edge technology.

This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
