Levent Ozruh has designed a family of distinct nightstands.
Each nightstand is 3D printed out of quartz sand by Sandhelden in Germany.
As objects they are hybrids of sculpture and furniture - they are frozen between a visual and functional agenda.
The morphology of each object is intended to lead to a re-evaluation of what makes an object primitive: the generated aesthetics, the tools of creation, or the society it is produced for?
This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
