From fish farm to furniture: The Resurface Table is made of marine waste from the Norwegian fishing industry.

The studio Norwegian Trash aims for a system change where both manufacturer and consumer are responsible for the process and the product. By using blockchain technology all the steps are documented and traceable – a radical system change contributing to get waste back into the loop and away from nature.

The flow of the curves is a reference and tribute to the long Norwegian coastline and how the oceans have shaped our landscape through time.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
