GUCULIYA.TINI - is a collection of textiles and ceramics that emerges from the depths of the Ukrainian ethnic.
It is inspired by love of Hutsul aesthetics and mythology, symbolism, and ancient mysticism, embodied in Gavaretska ceramics, a unique pottery technique of Western Ukraine.
It is also an experiment - a combination of a traditional pottery technology and minimalist geometric shapes. Textiles also combine reinterpreted ancient symbols, natural materials, and completely handmade work with a concise, restrained design. The whole composition of objects and textiles creates a muted but solemn background for the dishes and the process of slow consumption.
This project has been longlisted in the homeware design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
