Dezeen Showroom: Italian furniture brand Cassina has reissued Vico Magistretti's Nuvola Rossa, a folding bookcase with sleek angles and lines.

Nuvola Rossa is part of Cassina's Pro collection, which brings together the brand's most iconic pieces designed for the workplace and hospitality sector.

The Nuvola Rossa bookcase was originally designed in 1977 by renowned Italian furniture designer and architect Vico Magistretti, who died in 2006.

The bookcase has a distinct diagonal structure that provides support to six shelves without the need for conventional sides.

The bookcase is foldable, making it a versatile piece of furniture that can also serve as a room divider. It also comes in either goose-beak orange or grey, which are custom colours designed for the Cassina collection.
