Matheus Farah e Manoel Maia Arquitetura have designed Dengo Chocolates Concept Store to host a premium chocolate brand.
Dengo Chocolates Concept Store is a milestone in sustainability, efficiency and innovation for the Brazilian architecture and construction industry, since the use of wood as the main material in multi-storey buildings is not yet consolidated in Brazil.
The architecture recreates a chocolate factory in an attractive and didactic way. Composed of hollow wooden cubes that add vertical elements to the building and convey the idea of permeability, this is the space where the rustic, authentic and handmade are highlighted, based on a contemporary reinterpretation of natural elements and the very essence of Brazil.
This project has been shortlisted in the large retail interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
