Clément Lesnoff-Rocard has renovated a 19th-century house in Paris with a central courtyard called The Island.
The Island is about creating an isolated natural landscape for a family inside their home: surrounded by the city but deeply separated from its pressure.
Initiated three years ago, the project considers the pandemic we are living in and our never ending lockdown conditions.
The result is a metaphorical Eden: an island.
This project has been shortlisted in the house interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
Designer: Clément Lesnoff-Rocard Architecture and Gil Percal
