The Moholy-Nagy Foundation asked Marina Willer to create a new identity and website to promote, research and preserve the legacy of László Moholy-Nagy's life and work.

The mindset and methods used by Moholy-Nagy directly informed the craft-based approach. Unique typographic forms were created by hand in the studio using projections with light and water—these intriguing letterforms form the basis of the fluid identity and the distinctive typographic wordmark.

Using techniques inspired by the artist's experimental approach, Marina and her team created a striking and sympathetic identity that perfectly honours Moholy-Nagy's amazing legacy.

This project has been shortlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
