Galerie Philia presents Transhumances II, an exhibition of work by creatives who took part in an art and design residency in Florence this summer.
Defined as a form of migration based on seasonal movement, the concept of transhumance is the theme of the exhibition, which compiles work made by a series of artists during a residency called Numeroventi.
Practitioners from France, Germany, Canada and the Netherlands offer work that takes cues from the Renaissance era and aims to compare the creativity that was born from the Dark Ages with the possibility of a similar cultural awakening in a post-pandemic world.
Transhumances II follows a previous edition by Galerie Philia of the same name and takes place at the same location in Florence where the residency was hosted.
Transhumances II takes place from 9 October to 2 December 2021 a Palazzo Galli Tassi, Numeroventi Design Residency, Via dei Pandolfini, 20, 50122 Florence, Italy.
