Axor's Brushed Black Chrome products feature in The Londoner hotel
Promotion: the bathrooms of boutique hotel The Londoner in Leicester Square include Axor's Brushed Black Chrome finish taps and shower heads to mirror the building's industrial metalwork.
Designed by architecture studio Woods Bagot, the 16-storey The Londoner hotel was created to reflect the "elegance of West End life".
A range of Axor products have been specified throughout the hotel in its standard beds rooms, luxury suites and public spaces. Axor basins and bath mixers, showers, brassware accessories and kitchen mixers have been chosen for their "sleek silhouette and premium feel".
"Part of Edwardian Hotels London, the Londoner has been curated to reflect the drama and elegance of West End life," said project sales manager at Axor, Katie Weston.
"Synonymous with luxury, The Londoner specified Axor brassware throughout the entirety of the hotel."
"Axor was the natural choice for this hotel," said The Londoner's head architect and creative director of Edwardian Group London, Rob Steul.
"The Londoner is all about understated luxury, we wanted guests to feel they were experiencing the best," Steul continued. "Axor delivers that in both its product design and function. The showering experience is like no other."
In standard rooms, Axor Citterio E 3-hole Wall-mounted Basin Mixers were used, while the Axor Citterio E Shower Sets were featured in the suites, complete with Axor 120 3jet Hand Showers.
The brand's Citterio E Bath Spout features in all rooms, while in the hotel's in-room kitchens, Axor Uno Mixers were chosen.
"Paying attention to the smallest of details, the iconic Brushed Black Chrome finish has also been applied to all Universal Accessories," said the brand.
"From shower door handles and rail grab bars, to towel hooks and toilet paper holders, Londoner bathrooms have a truly unified, luxury aesthetic."
The Londoner's design has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating, exceeding the requirements for water use and sustainable energy.
According to Axor, the brand contributed to this achievement, due to its AirPower and EcoSmart technologies, which are designed to reduce water consumption by up to 60 per cent without compromising on performance.
Axor develops and produces taps, showers and bathroom accessories for both kitchens and bathrooms.
For the over 25 years, Axor has developed collections with many international designers, including Philippe Starck, Jean-Marie Massaud and Patricia Urquiola.
The brand has presented five collections on Dezeen Showroom, including water-saving accessories by Barber Osgerby and free-standing taps by Antonio Citterio.
On 20 April, Axor brought together a panel of experts to discuss the concept of conscious luxury at the second edition of Axor Futures, a digital platform for events, which exchanged ideas around conscious consumption and longevity in design.
