Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Very Simple Kitchen has extended its modular kitchen concept to the outdoors, with a collection tailored to entertaining al fresco.

Very Simple Kitchen bases its system on lightweight steel modules, and the outdoor collection continues this approach while adding features such as barbecues, plates, closeable sinks and weatherproof benchtops in stainless steel or stone.

The kichens are distinguished by their colourful finish options, as well as the modularity that makes them adaptable to spaces as small as an apartment balcony or as large as an extensive garden.

The outdoor kitchens can also be optionally configured with wheels to make them mobile.

The Very Simple Kitchen brand was launched last year by designer Riccardo Randi, who has also designed this outdoor collection.

The kitchens will be presented at Milan design week at Very Simple Bellezza, which places the designs in the historic Milanese cultural club Arci Bellezza in a setting designed by the architect Davide Fabio Colaci.
