Miller & Maranta AG has created a residential development to fit with the history of one of Switzerland's key cities.

The project is located on the former site of the Allgemeine Plakatgesellschaft on Hardstrasse, which was a key area for urban development in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that saw the creation of a large estate and park complemented by commercial buildings.

The new development is to be integrated into this history. The former gatehouse and large group of trees form the address to the street. Along the site walls, the existing buildings will be cut back to their original dimensions and supplemented, creating an open space that will accommodate the three new residential buildings.

This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
