Canalside Studio has produced a house interior project for a young couple in Canada to work with their needs in creating life together.

The project in Toronto is the new home to a young couple designed to fit within their budget.

The design is playful and warm, using plywood extensively throughout for its materiality and qualities of being widely available, affordable and sustainable.

Focusing on three areas – the entrance hallway with the staircase, the kitchen, and the playroom – each of these spaces has its own character, such as a whimsical portal, an archway or a log cabin.

The design provides a neutral but lively backdrop for the clients who plan to start a family.

This project has been longlisted in the small interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
