Mitchell + Corti has brought new life to a London home with sustainable and environmentally conscious solutions.

The project is a side, rear and loft extension to a mid-terrace family home located in the heart of Queens Park conservation area.

The net-zero carbon residential retrofit project provides seamless integration of sustainable systems without compromising on aesthetics.

To achieve the A-100 energy rating, sustainability, airtightness and energy targets were met by employing a diverse range of solutions. These included key elements from external blinds and solar panels, an ASHP, MVHR air handling unit and triple-glazed windows and doors, through to wildflower roofs, reclaimed tiles and natural clay walls.

This project has been longlisted in the house interior category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
