Flack Studio has designed Ace Hotel Sydney in Sydney, Australia.

This project focused on retaining the distinctively modernist aesthetic of Ace Hotels with a uniquely Australian twist in the heart of Sydney.

Intended as a home for everyone, Ace Hotel Sydney explores the relationship between private and public in a gritty megalopolis bounding the immediate site.

Drawing influence from the surrounding neighbourhood's rich history and cinematic colour palette of the Australian landscape, Flack Studio created a space that contrasts the city's significant eras and evolutions with natural textures, tones and organic materials.

This hotel is rooted in community and inclusivity, welcoming discovery from its Surrey Hills neighbours and travellers from far afield.

This project has been longlisted in the hotel and short-stay interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
