DN&CO has rebranded Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxford, England.

This project puts UK science on a global stage and connects an entire population to a place making a real difference. Just as importantly, it’s helping a team that is doubling the size of this special place by giving them a better way to communicate with those — such as government — who can provide vital investment; investment that will ultimately help the whole nation advance.

"Harwell Science and Innovation Campus is the lynchpin of our vaccine response, home to the world's largest space cluster, and the global leader of a new battery revolution," added designers DN&CO. "The UK's quest to become a science superpower rests squarely on the shoulders of this science capital."

Respecting the high intellect of its audience, DN&Co's creative idea was rooted in the universal language of science: mathematics.

The "^" exponent symbol is powerfully complex, yet graces every keyboard on the planet — a perfect embodiment of Harwell's quiet eminence and global impact in one mighty but minuscule mark: the signature of exponential growth.

This project has been longlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
