Henning Larsen Architects has designed the Roadmap for Student House in Paris, France.
This project rolled out with an ambitious strategy of being an inspiring and exemplary example of a sustainable college in 2022. Cité Internationale Universitaire is an international student city in Paris which includes about 40 dormitories with 5,000 students from all over the world – where all 40 dormitories are built and run by different nationalities.
The student city was founded in 1925 by forces created by the pacifist movement that emerged in interwar France. The vision was to support world peace by letting young people from all over the world meet and live together. It's still on the agenda of the Cité International Universitaires to contribute to world peace by solving the world's problems together.
The result is working towards nine goals in terms of behaviour change. To fulfil this ambition, there was a need for clear communication that hits its target group.
Henning Larsen Architects solved this task by designing the message as a gift handed out to the young students when they arrive at the student house on their first day. This gift is nine beautiful and humorous illustrations printed on high-quality paper.
This project has been longlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
