Boud has created a dual-function steriliser that combines high technology with mindful manufacturing methods.

The Clair IU is an easy-to-carry dual ION and UV steriliser designed by Boud. Although compact, it has practical functions presented through straightforward shapes and colours.

The IU applies UV-C and UV-A LED dual lamps for effective and eco-friendly sterilisation. The clear plasma ioniser (CPI) technology ionises air to remove harmful bacteria and dust. UV LEDs and CPI, the two main functions, can be controlled through the circular sliding button. while corrosion treatment of the body mould enabled economically and environmentally beneficial manufacture of the ABS product, as well reducing production costs and providing a softer touch material.

This project has been longlisted in the product design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
