Outercraft has collaborated with DAB Motors to produce an electric motorcycle with a new design language that balances speed and elegance.

The Concept-E embodies the vision of emerging motorcycle manufacturer DAB Motors by focusing on a style-driven approach to define the future of the product.

The project started with a concept bike, shortly followed by a street legal version and a limited edition in collaboration with luxury brand Burberry.

Complex mechanics are hidden or, for the key ones, highlighted with precisely shaped integrations. The bodywork is also shaped with minimal lines keeping a subtle balance between speed and elegance, introducing the new design language of the brand. Connectivity too is paramount: the bike starts keyless with a mobile app, which also complements the minimal display of the bike by way of providing maintenance information, geolocation and additional services.

This project has been longlisted in the product design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
