Massproductions has created a wooden chaise-longe with high comfort from a hard material.

4PM is a new chaise-longe made in Sweden from laminated Douglas fir or cherry wood, presented by Massproductions during Stockholm Design Week 2022. It is a combination of curved and flat parts, and has been designed to provide the best possible comfort.

From above, the profile of 4PM tapers towards the footrest, which enables the feet to fall comfortably on both sides and simplifies getting in or out. The horizontal footrest can also be used as a temporary seating area or a table surface.

In a homage to the Italian designer Enzo Mari, the 4PM Self Build will also be released, where consumers can build their own chaise-longe with the help of drawings and materials from your local hardware store.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
