New York and Tokyo-based Ippodo Gallery hosts its Extreme Surfaces exhibition at Design Miami, showcasing Japanese kogei.

The exhibition presents the work of 22 artists, exploring contemporary Japanese crafts, known as kogei, quality materials and opposing styles.

Artists include Kodai Ujiie, Yukiya Izumita, Terumasa Ikeda, Hirotomi Maeda and Shigeru Uchida, whose piece features traditional Japanese tea service every day of the exhibition.

Extreme Surfaces takes place from 30 November to 4 December 2022 at 1800 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, USA.
