Dezeen Showroom: Danish design duo Anker Studio has created the Versale lighting collection for Danish lighting brand Nordlux, which features wide bowl-shaped lamp shades.

Available as a table lamp, floor lamp or pendant, the Versale collection was designed to provide ambient, glare-free lighting to desk spaces, living rooms and dining areas.

The lamps have a minimalist shape and are available in the choice of white or black. The floor lamp and table lamp have a slanted stem with a round base.

"The Versale series is the epitome of Scandinavian minimalism cut to the very core – a perfectly round shade with a uniform light surface only disturbed by the piercing frame," said Nordlux.

"Some lamps are only functional, while some are more emotionally and aesthetically driven," the brand continued.

"The emotionally driven pieces become like an art object in the home. That's what makes the work fun – there's room for differences."
