Lara Lesmes
London-based Lara Lesmes is co-founder of architecture and art studio Space Popular.
In 2011, Lesmes graduated from the Architectural Association in London and in 2013 co-founded Space Popular with Fredrik Hellberg. Their work includes virtual reality, film, exhibitions, buildings, objects and virtual architecture for the metaverse.
Notable clients and commissioners include MAXXI in Rome, Sir John Soane Museum in London, ArkDes in Stockholm, the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul and MEET Digital Culture Centre in Milan.
Lesmes has taught at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, the Architectural Association in London and the University of Toronto. She currently teaches at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design.
