Dezeen Showroom: Italian furniture brand Miniforms has released new colours of its glass coffee table Soda, created by Greek designer Yiannis Ghikas.

Soda, from small-table specialist Miniforms, is now available in amethyst and blue in addition to the original amber and petrol-green options.

First released in 2020, each Soda table is made entirely from a single piece of Murano glass that is hand-blown by three master glassmakers.

It has a chubby form with a round table top and a stem comprising a trio of petal shapes, created by blowing a puff of air through the glass.

The hammered surface is not completely smooth, giving the table an organic feel and a prism-like effect.

Despite its visual lightness, the table weighs a substantial 20 kilograms and is available in a taller, narrower shape or a lower, wider form.
