Vivere freestanding bath by Wayne Spriggs for Lusso
Dezeen Showroom: Wayne Spriggs, founder and CEO of British bathroom brand Lusso, has designed a freestanding bathtub named Vivere, which he claims is the world's first bath made from forged carbon fibre.
Informed by Bugatti's Veyron Vivere supercar, Spriggs designed Vivere to be strong, durable and visually striking.
The freestanding bath has a rounded shape made from a blend of carbon fibres and polymer resins, making it lighter than baths made from cast iron or acrylic.
"The Vivere is a breathtaking blend of science and art," said Lusso. "The strength-to-weight ratio of our forged carbon fibre Bathtub is truly unmatched."
"The Vivere bath is the ultimate choice for those seeking the finest bathing experience," the brand continued.
Vivere is 1700 millimetres long and was designed to be scratch resistant.
