Tokyo-based creative studio Contrast hosts the Memory in Motion: Architecture of Perseverance solo exhibition by Ukrainian artist and architect Bogdan Seredyak.
Driven by the impact of war on the built environment, Serdyak combines four architectural styles commonly found in Ukraine to explore the destroyed collective memories encapsulated in architecture, generating designs to symbolise progression.
Serdyak aims to create a framework for post-war reconstruction centred around themes of sustainability, collective memory and hope.
Memory in Motion: Architecture of Perseverance takes place from 15 to 23 July 2023 at Contrast, 1-49-4, Tomigaya, Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo, 150-0063, Japan.
