Linehouse has designed the Gaga Coast restaurant in Shanghai, China.

Linehouse transformed a three-storey building into a vertical journey of refined rusticity across three floors of the restaurant giving visitors unique and distinct spaces to dine.

"The client tasked [us] to bring a Mediterranean-inspired dining experience to the new restaurant," said Linehouse. "The Gaga Coast restaurant in Shanghai recalls a deep connection with coastal elements and Mediterranean soul."

The concept of the open parilla grill kitchen captured the quintessence of Mediterranean cuisine and Linehouse conceived the spaces as a journey through a coastal terrain exploring elements such as earth, fire and sea.

This project has been longlisted in the restaurant and bar interior category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
