GAAGA has developed the Forest Bath building in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Forest Bath is a circular residential building located in the Bosrijk park in Eindhoven.

"The design is inspired by the Japanese practice [of] Shinrin-yoku, in which you immerse yourself in the forest, taking in nature using all your senses to calm your body and mind," said GAAGA.

With a balanced design, subdued aesthetics, use of natural materials, people and environment-friendly sustainability principles and above all, a strong connection between residents, buildings and the forested landscape, the project is a modern residential building in harmony with its natural surroundings.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable building category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
