DSDHA has redeveloped and redesigned the National Youth Theatre in London, United Kingdom.

Established in 1956 as the world's first youth theatre company, the National Youth Theatre (NYT) has nurtured the talent of hundreds of thousands of young people.

Conceived as a 'Creative Production House', DSDHA's major redevelopment transforms the previously unloved building in terms of visibility, accessibility and long-term sustainability, doubling its capacity for professional studio space.

In addition, the NYT can deliver on its 'open door' policy – vastly expanding its track record of enriching lives nationally and delivering benefits to the cultural and social value of the wider community in which it sits.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable renovation category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
