Jaipur Rugs have supported the creation of the Rango Ki Duniya rug for the project, Freedom Manchaha.

"In a world where marginalised communities are often overlooked, Freedom Manchaha stands out as a powerful force for change." said Jaipur Rugs.

This sustainable initiative is transforming the lives of long-term prisoners in Jails of Rajasthan by giving them an opportunity to design their own rugs.

Through this program, inmates are able to find healing, purpose and a new sense of identity, breaking the cycle of poverty and illiteracy that so often leads to a life of crime.

The Rango Ki Duniya rug, created by inmates Majid and Mudassir, brings to life the vivid imagination of kites in the skies of their villages.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design (consumer) category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
