Dezeen Showroom: created by Italian design studio E-ggs for furniture brand Miniforms, the versatile Nebula lounge chair comes with a choice of three different bases.

The Nebula lounge's wooden base suits cosy home environments, while the aluminium base is suitable for offices. The base with tubular metal legs allows the seat to blend into a range of settings.

Like the aluminium base, the wood base has the benefit of a tilt-and-return mechanism so it is responsive to shifting sitting positions, while bringing with it the warm and domestic character of wood.

The four-star base is made up of rounded planks for a distinctive design that also echoes the inviting teardrop shape of the Nebula series' armrests.

"The lounge version of Nebula celebrates technology but keeps it low-key, eliminating any suggestion of stuffiness," said Miniforms.

The Nebula lounge wood seat is made of pure polyurethane — a soft version for the foam and a rigid version for the shell — and is fully recyclable at the end of its life.
