Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards 2023 designer of the year, Hackney-based Paul Cocksedge Studio.

Paul Cocksedge and Joana Pinho met at the Royal College of Art in London and founded their practise in 2004. The studio's work is underpinned by extensive research in technology, materials and making processes.

Paul Cocksedge Studio has collaborated with institutions including Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Friedman Benda in New York, as well as luxury brands, Hermès, Swarovski and BMW.

Recent projects include a giant outdoor seating installation made of three concentric rings, a large sculpture draped from the ceiling of The Rowe office building in London and a sculpture made from 2,000 pieces of high-carbon coal in Liverpool.

Paul Cocksedge Studio has been shortlisted in the designer of the year category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
