Shanghai's Festival of Design returns in 2023, hosting a programme of talks, exhibitions, film screenings, workshops and a forum.

This year's event follows the theme 再 RE-, which translates to "again". The programme of events explores reassessment, rediscovery and redefinition in a post-pandemic world.

Speakers at the festival include architects and designers Anders Byriel, Shay Alkalay, Boonserm Premthada, Mark Lee, Liu Yichun, Jo Nagasaka, Simon Frommenwiler, Eva Prats, Ricardo Flores and Jurgen Bey.

Dezeen's China editor Christina Yao is hosting the "How to establish a Chinese design narrative" talk on 14 November at 511 Jiangning Road.

Festival of Design 2023 takes place from 10 November to 10 December 2023 at various locations across Shanghai, China.
