Bethan Laura Wood

Bethan Laura Wood is the founder of multidisciplinary studio Bethan Laura Wood.

The office specialises in materials investigation and artisan collaboration. Through her practice, Wood explores innovative ways to make design more sustainable amid mass consumption and a production-driven industry.

Royal College of Art (RCA) graduate Wood has worked closely with galleries including Nilufar Gallery as well as collaborated with brands including Perrier–Jouët, Rosenthal, Kvadrat, Hermes and Dior.

Wood has exhibited at institutes such as Victoria and Albert Museum, Swiss Institute, Daelim Museum and the MOT. She has permanent collections displayed at Wellcome Collection, Dresden State Art Collections, Abet Laminati Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago and SFMOMA.

The designer has also led workshops at Boisbuchet, V&A, Tate Britain, Vienna Design Week, IN Residence, and Design Shanghai, as well as universities including RCA, ECAL and Central Saint Martins.
