Dezeen shortlisted for 10 prestigious publishing and event awards
Dezeen has been shortlisted in 10 categories across four different awards programmes, with nominations for its editorial, video and sales teams, as well as its own awards programme Dezeen Awards.
Dezeen has been shortlisted for four British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Talent Awards, two Professional Publishers Association (PPA) awards, two Association of Online Publishers (AOP) awards and two Conference and Event Awards.
Editorial and video teams recognised by BSME
Dezeen's deputy editor Cajsa Carlson has been shortlisted for best deputy editor at the BSME Talent Awards with features editor Nat Barker shortlisted for best writer in the specialist media category.
Carlson is up against deputy editors from publications including Condé Nast Traveller, Bauermedia, Stylist and Ocadolife, while Barker will compete against writers from National Geographic Traveller Food, The Doctor, Which? magazine and Campaign, among others.
Dezeen's creative studio Dezeen Studio is nominated for best video team, competing against teams from New Scientist, Which?, CAR and MCN, while our newsletter Dezeen in Depth has been shortlisted for best newsletter.
Dezeen Awards nominated four times
The Dezeen Awards team nabbed two nominations at the Conference and Event Awards, with last year's edition of Dezeen Awards being shortlisted for awards event of the year and best development of an existing awards event.
Dezeen Awards was also shortlisted in the PPA Awards for event of the year in the business media category, while our 2023 partnership with Bentley, which included headline sponsorship of Dezeen Awards alongside the Future Luxury Retail Design Competition and a series of talks, is up for commercial partnership of the year.
Sales team members nominated at AOP Digital Awards
Dezeen's head of sales and business development, Margot Stokes, is a finalist at the AOP Digital Awards in the salesperson of the year category, where she'll be competing against salespeople from Autovia, Newsquest and Times Media.
At the same event, Dezeen's Events Guide manager Grace Nikobari will compete for the Rising Star award against finalists from Mail Metro Media, New Scientist, The Channel Company, The Telegraph and UKTN.
The nominations follow a successful 2023 awards season for Dezeen.
In December 2023, Dezeen's co-CEOs Benedict Hobson and Wai Shin Li were named leaders of the year for media and the digital industries at The Drum Awards 2023.
Dezeen received two honours in November last year when our editor Tom Ravenscroft was highly commended at the BSME Awards and our architecture editor Lizzie Crook was highly commended at the International Building Press (IBP) Awards.
In June 2023, Dezeen's editorial team was named Team of the Year at the Professional Publishers Association (PPA)'s annual awards while Ravenscroft also won Editor of the Year at the Association of Online Publishers' annual awards ceremony.
